Nilo Sagredo
Copper - Bronze - Lapis Lazuli Mask
This listing is for a rare Sagredo copper mask based on the Maoi rock statues of the Easter Islands. It measures approximately 27" tall and 21" across at the widest point of its ears.
This style of ceremonial mask was used to protect against evil spirits.
The long 3-dimensional shaped copper face has strong features, has lapis eyes, and lapis accents on ears and below chin. Bronze accents are at ear lobes and on the chin.

Signed on the back of the left ear: " Duende - Kava-Kava - Rapa Nui - Chile - Nilo Sagredo."
I believe it was created around 2005-2007, but know very little about it. I'd love to hear from anyone with more information on this piece.
FLAWS: 3 of the 4 rivets holding the ears on are broken (tape is currently holding them in place). The piece for hanging it up is also broken. See the photos for a better description.
